Opening Day 4/23 Information

Medford Baseball Opening Day on April 23rd is almost here.  

We look forward to seeing everyone.  It’s a great experience and a lot of fun for the kids.  All players are announced onto the field and run through a “high five” line of older players.  

We will also a have music, special announcements, VFW Color Guard, National Anthem, ceremonial first pitch, food concessions and sponsor giveaways (Medford fitness will be handing out free memberships and Medford Ford will have demo vehicles to check out.)

All of this is followed by lots of baseball games.  It’s going to be a great day.

10:00 - All teams arrive at main Hartford Crossing ShopRite complex and gather around the outside of Field 1 (map below).  All players should wear their full Rec uniform.    

11:00 - Announcement of players (oldest to youngest) as they run onto Field 1 through a “high five” line. 

11:30 - Once all players are announced we will all face a Medford fire truck hanging the American flag for the National Anthem. 

11:35 - Ceremonial first pitch. 

12:00- Games begin.  Schedule is being finalized and will be distributed by head coaches.
