Baseball Starz Team Program Policies and Procedures

General Policies


1. All players, coaches, volunteers participating in any practices/events/or activities must be registered with a completed general wavier form in our sports management software system.

2. Program members and participants must abide by team values of the program. Program members, players, coaches, volunteers maybe removed from program activities at any time with or without cause by Baseball Starz Program Officials.

 

3. We expect players, coaches, managers, parents to exhibit behavior appropriate for a children’s sporting event. 

4. All data, processes, documentation, contact information of participants, logos, artwork, performance tracking systems, inventions, and any other intellectual property and/or physical property accessible to any participants, volunteers, compensated participants, employees, contractors, is the sole exclusive intellectual and/or physical property of Baseball Starz.


5. Photographic, video, sports performance measurement data, and profiles obtained for the use of Baseball Starz and its partners, affiliates, program managers, coaches, officials for the use of analytical review and promotion of program results, is the sole exclusive intellectual and/or physical property of Baseball Starz.

6. Program membership amounts are not refundable for any reason. Any refunds that may be issued are at the sole discretion of the program officials for Baseball Starz.

7. Team store items are not refundable for any reason. Any refunds that may be issued are at the sole discretion of the program officials for Baseball Starz. This includes uniforms, spirit items, fan gear purchased in person or on a team store website.

8. Program installment amounts agreed to during registration do not guarantee any participation in any program events. Program event participation is subject to sole discretion of program officials and may be limited or not available do to controllable or uncontrollable factors, such as acts of God, weather, or any other unforeseen situations which could prevent individual or team participation in some or all events during the registration period.

9. All players, coaches, volunteers participating in any program activities release and consent to the use of their and/or my minor participants likenesses related to photographic, video, sports performance measurement data, and profiles for the use of Baseball Starz and its partners, affiliates, program managers, coaches, officials for the use of analytical review and promotion of program results.

10. If for any reason a member chooses not to participate in any further activities with Baseball Starz program, players registered for current season or upcoming season must give written notice to Baseball Starz program officials 60 days prior to removing themselves from activities. Membership amounts are not refundable. Team store items and merchandise purchased are not refundable for any reason. Future program payments for registered season are still owed regardless of active participation. Any refunds or waived program fees that may be issued are at the sole discretion of the program officials for Baseball Starz.

11. In the case of injury or illness that would prevent a player from any participation, please provide doctors note regarding ineligibility to participate in athletic activities. Any refunds or waived program amounts that may be issued are at the sole discretion of the program officials for Baseball Starz.

Attendance Policies

Please note that check in is required for all game days. Please follow the guidelines below regarding event attendance. 


1. Please indicate your player's availability NO LATER than Monday by 9:00am for both game days the weekend your team is playing games.

2. It is understood that all players will attend ALL games with their primary team with exception to the following reasons which would prevent your player from being able to attend a game event:

A. Major Injury/illness
B. Major Religious Obligation
C. Major Family Obligation

3. You can check your player into availability in advance for events, but please ensure that if for any reason your status changes that you contact both your team manager and a program director.

4. In the case that you will you not be able to attend an event day without a minimum of 72 hours notice, you will need to call your team manager to ensure he knows you cannot attend. Just sending a text message to your team manager or a program director is not sufficient to ensure that they received a message. Please attempt to call team manager or program director if there is any uncertainty that they received a message regarding non-attendance.

5. Players are expected to attend all practices with their team. As a courtesy to pro coaches/ team managers please indicate your players availability for each practice day in the sports management system.

Policies for Communication with Coaches/Team Managers

1. If you have any questions or concerns for a team manager, please contact your team manager directly before you contact a pro coach or a program director. If you do not receive an answer you feel is satisfactory, feel free contact a program director at that point.  

2. Non-Emergency questions regarding weekend tournaments and games should be addressed after the weekend event is over no earlier than 24 hours after last game of the event is completed. 

3. If you have a question regarding safety of at any activities, immediately notify your team coach or nearest program official. If you feel that a specific event or activity puts a participant at risk of injury, please notify a team coach or program official and remove yourself and/or your player as you deem appropriate.

4. Please contact a program official and your team manager if your player has sustained an injury or illness severe enough that it would prevent him from participation in events or activities.

 

5. In the case of running late for warmups/team activity please contact your team manager, not program directors/pro coaches.
