Indoor practices begin for the Spring 2026 season, your specific team days will be assigned by your coaches and placed in the app for you to follow along. We will not be practicing indoors during the week of March 20th-27th due to Spring Break occurring at Elwood School. Please be prepared to practice outdoors if the weather permits. Weather permitting we will host all practices outdoors from April 6th through the end of the season.

Let’s show our excitement for Irish Fest but our passion for the Steelcats team.

Please wear our Steelcat attire and add festive Irish accents for a great day.
We will meet at the parade line up starting point at 10AM, you will be contacted by President Cory or VP’s Kevin and Derek with exact details closer to the date.

PARENTS - This event counts as one large event to volunteer for that can help you work towards receiving your $50 volunteer fee back if you complete concession as well.

Join us to fundraise for the Elwood Steelcats! Easiest all virtual fundraising that allows your orders to be delivered to those who purchase them directly at their door. Each player is strongly encouraged to achieve selling 13 bags each. The fundraiser will be open for one week and the flyers will be distributed at the first practice. The team with the most popcorn sold will receive a pizza party!!!

Spring Field Clean Up 2026 Season

Spring Season 2026 Field Clean Up

Make an impact on our fields and give back to beautifying our field and community!

Projects we will be working on -

Replacing wood and benches in the dug outs
Repainting the dug outs and hanging new signs
Placing up the black netting for the back stops
Replacing corrugated piping along all fencing
Dragging and spiking the fields
Spray painting and cleaning the bases
Cleaning out and prepping the concession stands and bathrooms for the season

PARENTS - This event counts as one large volunteer event to help you receive back your $50 volunteer fee as long as you also complete one concession stand game.

Be part of giving back to the community while also a larger part of the overall field enhancements our fields are experiencing for the upcoming seasons!

Steelcats join us for our 2026 professional photos captured by Stacie Streicher Photography!

Coaches will hand out picture forms during practice this week to be completed and be brought with you during picture day. The cost will be $20/per player which includes a 5X7 Individual Print and a 5X7 Team photo. Post the event, Stacie Streicher Photography will be also emailing out the access to the digital downloads for an additional cost.
