Volunteer Coaches
Similar to the successful South Miami Youth Baseball League, Coaches are volunteer parents or volunteer Adults Coaches who have an interest in their children's and community activities. We actively seek parents or college graduate assistant and provide them with the tools and training to handle the responsibilities of the job. Those that have done so find it fun, yes challenging, as well as very fulfilling. Many of the coaches in the SMYBL come back year after year. By using parents or community members volunteer, we also get the input of what works best for everyone associated with the league.
Lastly, but of most importance, the safety of our players is foremost and all coaches, although parents and volunteers are cleared through the NFL before they can start. If you like to Become a coach of the SMYFFL 5 on 5 "NFL" Flag Football League.
Head Coaches only will need to get the USA/NFL Flag Football certification to coach in the league. To activate/register for Head coaching please visit

Cost is $5.00 to get your Head Coach certification and your son will play for Free in the league. From there you'll need to enter any required information before being able to access your account.
