Great Combacks

Our clutch hits started in the seventh inning. Down 2-0 and with runners on second and third, Joel slapped a single through the infield to tie the game. It looked bad for us when we allowed 3 runs in the top of the eighth, but we were not done hitting. Seth led off with his second safety of the game, then we got two-out singles from Steve Hazan, Dan R., Joel, Marc and Howie (sandwiched around a walk to Jeff A.) that provided the margin of victory in our 8-5 win.

It's rare that you win a game when the first three guys in the lineup go 0-for-11 with a walk, but we played nearly flawless defense and the bottom of the order picked us up with that big eighth inning.

Next week we are the visitors against a hot New Rochelle team in the annual battle of Temple Israel Centers.

Stats are up here.
