TO ALL JCBC FOOTBALL PARENTS:

We are now kicking off JCBC Panther Football for the 2026 season.

Since 2014 our football program is a co-operative effort between the Boys Club and Clarksville High School. It is meant to prepare your son for playing Panther Football.

The registration cost is $75. Please return your child’s equipment. If any equipment is not returned it is the parent's responsibility to pay for cost to replace the equipment. We will set up a return date when the season is over. We will also reserve the right to not let your children participate in JCBC sports until all equipment is returned. Each set of equipment has a $400 + cost associated with the equipment. We also reserve the right to pursue theft charges against you for failing to return the football equipment. You are agreeing to these terms by registering your child for the JCBC football
program.

We will have to have a copy of your child's birth certificate and a current physical (Cannot be over 1 year). The physical must be signed by a licensed physician or a APRN and must state cleared for all sports without restrictions. If restrictions are listed they must always be followed.

Here are some things you need to know as a parent:

Your son will be contacted about practices. The coach will make arrangements about getting his pads and uniform, which is provided by the JCBC. You are responsible for his shoes and a certified mouthpiece. We will start conditioning practices in July 07, 2026. Please make sure we have a good way to contact you when we start practicing.

Games start in August and normally we will play 8 of those; 4 home and 4 away.

Football is different than other sports played in the JCBC. Rules, scheduling and other guidelines are all set by the AR-OK River Valley Football League, which is the league we play in, NOT by the JCBC.

Games are not typically cancelled because of heat, cold or wet weather. About the only reason for a cancellation is ‘extreme’ weather or road conditions that are dangerous for those teams traveling.

If you are not committed to getting your son to ALL games, home and away, then he should probably not sign up. His not attending games is not fair to the team, the coaches or himself. So decide now.

While coaches will certainly be happy to help out by providing rides on an occasional basis, they are not bus drivers or babysitters.

As mentioned, we play in the AR-OK River Valley Football League. Football is a tough game, and the league is a competitive pee-wee league. The JCBC has had moderate success in the past, most of that because individual players and groups of players developed the mental and physical ‘toughness’ needed to excel.

Developing that attitude begins with you, the parent. I’m not talking about brow-beating your player, and certainly not about abusing him physically. But both he and you need to develop a positive attitude in the face of adversity.
