Valkyrie Fastpitch Softball
Travel Team under GGSL umbrella
Middle School
GGSL Middle School Division: Players in grades 6-8 are eligible to participate in this division. Players who are 12U eligible will be required to try out for the MS division if they wish to move up. Players who are 12U eligible will be the first individuals moved down to 12U at the time of team selection. Division Director: Tia Green/Shaun Durham
12U Teams
GGSL 12U Recreational League: Eligible players will need to be 12 years old or younger as of January 1 the year of the season. Proof of eligibility may be required. Players who are still 10U eligible will be required to try out for the 12U division if they wish to move up divisions early. Players must meet certain fundamental requirements to advance early. This division focuses on developing advanced skills required to compete against high level teams. This division is preparing the players who will advance onto play Middle School and High School softball. This division is player pitch and requires advanced pitching capabilities. 10U Teams
GGSL 10U Recreational League: Eligible players will need to be 10 years old or younger as of January 1 the year of the season. Players who are still 8U eligible will be required to try out for the 10U division if they wish to move up divisions early. Players must meet certain fundamental requirements to advance early. This division focuses on developing further knowledge and advanced fundamentals for the game. Will develop bunting and stealing skills. This division is player pitch. Division Director: Brooke Horner
8U Teams
GGSL 8U Recreational League: Eligible players will need to be 8 years old or younger as of January 1 the year of the season. Players who are still 6U eligible will be required to try out for the 8U division if they wish to move up divisions early. Players must meet certain fundamental requirements to advance early. This division continues to focus on the fundamentals of the game and rules of play. Will be mainly coaches pitch. Suggest beginning the fundamentals of player pitching with the older players who are interested in pitching going forward. Division Director: Tiffany Linstrom
6U Teams
GGSL Recreational League 6U Team: Eligible players will need to be 6 years old or younger as of January 1 the year of the season. This division focuses on the fundamental skills of softball and learning the game. Will be hitting off of a batting "T" with some coaches pitch. Equipment required: Face Shield, Mitt, Batting Helmet. Cleats and Bats are optional but highly recommended.
