Jump N Jam Evaluation Tipsheet

August 27, 2022 | Hernando, MS | Leslie Toole

The Jump N Jam Evaluation Showcase was a new venture hosted by DPR Events. The event was ran in a combine styled fashion. Players had their measurements taken; they were tested for speed and agility attributes, Click link to see Chart Agility Test Chart

Jump N Jam tested and evaluated young ladies in grades 7-12. There was great talent at the event; however, our Tipsheet can only reflect a few stand out performances. Unlike most other events, EVERY PLAYER was evaluated. All parents were given access to their child's Player Profiles with the notes on their child.

The Player Profiles were noted with four (4) items. 1) an overview of what was observed; 2) Strengths & Weaknesses; 3) Growth & Development; and 4) Player Rating

Here are a few players that we felt stood out. They will are listed in alphabetical order.

Mariyah Farrell | 5'5 Point Guard | 2027 | Heidelberg (MS) - Mariyah has the potential to be a true floor general. She possesses good instincts for a PG of her age. On occasion, she pushes tempo seeking early offense and will move the ball up the floor. Solid ball handler. Demonstrated the ability to get to the basket and score in traffic.

Jada Gay | 6'2 Forward | 2026 | Starkville High (MS) - Jada is an up and coming forward. Good athleticism with the ability to run the court. Understands pick and roll situations well for her age (9th grade). Solid rebounder with a quick trigger on her outlet passes. Finds herself in the right place around the basket for 2nd chance opportunities and put backs.

Makenzie Hampton | 5'7 Guard | 2024 | Marmaduke High (AR) - Makenzie is a tough and physical guard who approaches the game with a blue collar mindset. She's energetic and works to get 50/50 balls. Offensively, she has moderate ball handling abilities. With a quick release on her shot, she is capable of stretching the defense beyond the arc. Makenzie likes the transition 3 ball.

Shay'Lynn Hunter> | 5'8 Point Guard | 2023 | Neshoba Central High (MS) - Shay is a high energy PG with explosive ball handling abilities. Plays in constant attack mode. Skilled enough to change direction on a dime with the ball in her hands. Will challenge the defense and can be a creative finisher. Fearless competitor.

Al'lacia James | 5'4 Point Guard | 2023 | Southern Lab (LA) - Al'lacia is a point guard with good floor energy: Very active on the defensive end of the floor with very busy hands. (Can't turn your head on her). Moves well in the offensive scheme without the ball. Will attack the basket with right hand drives.

Takylah Marshall | 5'3 Point Guard | 2026 | Nettleton High (AR) - Takylah is a very poised Point Guard for her age. She played aggressive while making very few bad decisions. As a solid floor leader she kept involving her teammates. Much of her success was in up tempo situations, though in the half court, she occasionally took advantage of opportunities to cut and move without the ball.

Alajsa Walker | 5'6 Point Guard | 2023 | Lagrange High (LA) - Alajsa is a skill, athletic PG with a frame for the position. Aggressive ball handler with the ability to change directions on the dime and excellent speed with the ball. Does a good job of playing with her head up and has good instincts for the PG spot. Aggressive when attacking the basket and finishes with either hand at the rim thru traffic.
