St. Joseph's - Hewlett CYO Registration-2025-26

We are St Joseph’s CYO Basketball open to boys and girls starting at the 3rd grade level and run through 8th grade. Please check our registration page for 2025-26 registration times for both boys and girls.

Once registered, parents will be contacted by your child’s coach for practice times and a complete 2025/ 2026 schedule.  Generally, girls start earlier with practice starting in mid - September and a 12 game season running through December, and possibly the first week in January.

Boys generally start practicing in October & November, games begin in mid-November with the bulk of their 12 game schedule played in January and February. Again, your child’s coach will contact you with a practice schedule and game schedule after your child registers and when the schedule is made available.

3rd and 4th graders have a 12 game schedule with no playoffs. 5th grade through 8th grade have a 12 game schedule plus playoffs. Usually the schedule dictates 6 home games at St. Joseph’s Gym and 6 games away at competing CYO parishes.

For all playoff caliber teams, we prefer to match your child’s skill level to an appropriate division we feel he or she will have the best learning experience and most fun. It will be no fun for your child to be over matched or under matched in a division he or she is not prepared to play in. Finally, please do not register your child if they cannot commit to practice times and game schedule! We DO NOT want to forfeit any games due to a lack of players. It is not fair to their teammates that are committed and want to compete!  We usually cap most if not all rosters at 10 players.
