Description
The program offers opportunities to compete locally and state-wide against youth of similar ages and weights.  With a room full of past Little Devils and other volunteers, the instruction is taught by certified coaches who have been through a background check, and trained through an extensive certification course sponsored by USA Wrestling and the Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation.  The Belleville Little Devils Wrestling program was established in 1972 and is a proud member of the Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation and USA Wrestling.  A complete list of the rules and events for the IKWF and USA Wrestling can be found at www.ikwf.org.

Registration fees for the season are $150 per wrestler and includes a 6 week strength and conditioning program through Fricke's Advanced Strength Training.

Parents will be required and responsible for acquiring a USA Wrestling card through the IKWF.  Parents will also be responsible for purchasing any equipment and/or uniforms for their wrestler.

2024 Parent Code of Conduct
The essential elements of character building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concepts of sportsmanship and six core principles: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship. The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these “six pillars of character.” I therefore agree: 1. I will remember that children participate to have fun and that the game is for youth, not adults. 2. I will inform the coach of any physical disability or ailment that may affect the safety of my child or the safety of others. 3. I (and my guest) will not deliberately incite unsportsmanlike conduct. 4. I (and my guest) will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy, and by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials, and spectators at every game, practice, or other sporting event. 5. I (and my guest) will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player or parent such as booing and taunting: refusing to shake hands; using profane language or gestures. Abusive or profane language will not be tolerated toward any person in attendance on the premises of a game. competition, or tournament. 6. I will not encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the health and well-being of the athletes. 7. I will teach my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence. 8. I will demand that my child treat other players, coaches, officials, and spectators with respect regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or ability. 9. I will teach my child that doing one’s best is more important than winning, so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of a game or his/her performance. 10. I will never ridicule or yell at other participants for making a mistake or losing a competition. 11. I will promote the emotional and physical wellbeing of the athletes ahead of any personal desire I may have for my own child to win. 12. I will respect the coaches and their authority during games, competitions, or matches and will never question, discuss, or confront coaches on the game field or wrestling mat, and will take time to speak with coaches at an agreed upon time and place. 13. I will respect and accept the decisions of the officials and judges on the field and in competitions or tournaments as being fair and called to the best ability of said officials. I will never confront officials at the field, competition, or tournament, and will take time to discuss officiating with coach(es) or board member(s) at an agreed upon time and place. 14. I will refrain from coaching my child or other players during games, tournaments, and practices. 15. I will not permit an ineligible player to participate in a game or tournament. After receiving the officials report that a coach, spectator, or player has been disqualified, the Little Devils President shall require such coach, spectator, or player to appear before the Board of Directors to explain his or her conduct. It will be the decision of those members whether to suspend or reinstate that coach, spectator, or player. In the case of a spectator, he/she will not be allowed on the grounds until reinstated by the Board of Directors. I also agree that if I fail to abide by the above rules and guidelines, I will be subject to disciplinary action that could include, but is not limited to the following: 1. Verbal warning by official and/or the Little Devils President with written documentation of the incident kept on file by the Little Devils. 2. Written warning with written documentation of the incident kept on file by the Little Devils. 3. Parental game suspension with written documentation of the incident kept on file by the Little Devils. 4. Parental season suspension with written documentation of the incident kept on file by the Little Devils.
I agree to abide by the terms of the Belleville Little Devils Parent Code of Conduct

2024 Photo Release Agreement
Photo Release Agreement The Little Devils website, SportsPlus App and Social Media pages are tools to communicate with players, parents, coaches, prospective new members, and the community in general. To enhance this experience, we may use photos to show member involvement in various activities. In some cases, Athletes' names are also used. The athlete's name will never be used in conjunction with the photo unless separate permission is given. In an effort not to offend anyone or raise any legal issues, we are requiring permission from the parent/guardian to show players faces or use their name on the website. This will not apply to action photos of football players in full gear as identification would be very difficult. This is merely a precautionary measure to protect the children as well as Little Devils. Please fill out the permission slip and return it with the rest of your registration forms. Athlete's Name: Age: I am the parent or legal guardian of the child named above. I understand the possible publication of my child's image or name on the Little Devils website, SportsPlus App and Social Media pages and agree to the following: I hereby give permission to Boys Football Club of Belleville to include my child's image on the Little Devils website, SportsPlus App and Social Media pages. or To do not give permission, I agree to print and complete the attached form and submit a hard copy to the Belleville Little Devils, stating: I hereby DO NOT give permission to Boys Football Club of Belleville to include my child's image on the Little Devils website, SportsPlus App and Social Media pages.
