Figo Doubtful For Pirates Match

Chippa United have confirmed that Linda ‘Figo’ Mntambo is doubtful for the team’s upcoming match against Orlando Pirates.

The Chilli Boys are scheduled to host Bucs in an Absa Premiership match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday.

The Eastern Cape outfit has confirmed that the midfielder, who has been impressive for Teboho Moloi’s side since arriving from Jomo Cosmos in January, is scheduled for a late fitness test for the injury he picked against Baroka FC last weekend.

“Mntambo sustained a calf strain in the match against Baroka on Saturday where he was (stretchered) off. He will receive treatment throughout the week and undergo a late fitness test on Thursday or Friday,” Chippa confirmed on the club’s official website.
