Tech soccer spring schedule released
The 2018 spring schedule for the Texas Tech soccer team was released on Monday, Feb. 19, with three games scheduled at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
The first game of the 2018 spring schedule will be against New Mexico at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, at the John Walker Soccer Complex, according to a Tech Athletics news release. The last time the Red Raiders played New Mexico was in the 2016 season, and Tech defeated the Lobos 2-1.
Tech will then have a doubleheader on Saturday, March 3, with the Red Raiders’ first opponent being against West Texas A&M at 10:30 a.m.
Next, Tech will play Abilene Christian at 3:30 p.m., according to the release. Tech played West Texas A&M last spring, and played Abilene Christian in the fall 2016 season.
Tech will then travel to Frisco to play Oklahoma State on Saturday, March 31, with the time to be announced, according to the release.
The Red Raiders will then play Rice on Saturday, April 7, and LSU on Saturday, April 14, with times for both games to be announced.
The Red Raiders finished the 2017 season with a record of 9-7-3 and for the first time in six years missed the postseason, according to the release.
Four seniors graduated, but Tech signed three players mid-year and had eight National Signing Day signees.
