FC ALLEN – Code of Conduct for Parents and Players
FC Allen is committed to developing well-rounded athletes in a positive, respectful, and safe environment. The following Code of Conduct is designed to guide the behavior and expectations of both players and parents to ensure a successful and enjoyable experience for all.
FOR PLAYERS
As an FC Allen player, I agree to:
1. Respect Everyone
- Show respect to coaches, teammates, opponents, referees, and parents at all times.
- Use positive language and maintain good sportsmanship—win or lose.
2. Commit to the Team
- Attend all practices, games, and events on time and ready to participate.
- Notify my coach in advance if I must miss a session or game.
3. Work Hard and Stay Coachable
- Always give my best effort, listen to coaching instructions, and strive to improve.
- Accept constructive feedback without arguing or complaining.
4. Be a Positive Teammate
- Support and encourage my teammates.
- Avoid blaming others or negative behavior on and off the field.
5. Take Care of Myself and the Game
- Maintain good hygiene, nutrition, and sleep habits.
- Keep uniforms and gear in good condition and respect all facilities.
6. Follow the Rules
- Abide by club rules, league regulations, and the laws of the game.
- Refrain from any form of bullying, discrimination, or unsafe behavior.
FOR PARENTS
As an FC Allen parent, I agree to:
1. Support the Players Respectfully
- Cheer for all players in a positive manner.
- Allow the coach to coach—do not give instructions from the sidelines.
2. Respect Coaches, Referees, and Opponents
- Demonstrate respect for all participants, including referees, even when you disagree.
- Avoid confrontations with officials, coaches, players, or other parents.
3. Trust the Process
- Support the club’s player development approach, including playing time, positions, and decisions made by coaching staff.
- Address any concerns privately and respectfully with the coach or director—never during games or in front of others.
4. Communicate Appropriately
- Use appropriate channels to communicate (email, scheduled meetings, etc.).
- Allow a 24-hour “cooling off” period before addressing concerns after a game.
5. Be a Positive Role Model
- Model sportsmanship, composure, and integrity at all times.
- Refrain from any disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior.
6. Honor the Commitment
- Ensure my child attends practices, games, and team events regularly.
- Make timely payments and fulfill other commitments required by the club.
Zero Tolerance Policy
Any violation of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including warnings, suspension, or dismissal from the team or club. FC Allen has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, bullying, violence, or discriminatory behavior.
