2027 Cardinals Baseball & Canton Nitro Fastpitch Travel Team's Tryouts

2027Canton Cardinals Travel Baseball & Canton Nitro Fastpitch Tryouts



GCYBSA will be hosting tryouts for our Canton Cardinals Boys Baseball  & Canton Nitro Girls Softball Travel Teams.  The season runs from mid-April of 2027 through end of July 2027.  Teams start indoor practice in winter months.  These teams are separate from the GCYBSA fall recreational league.

 
The cost will vary by the team from approximately $1,000 - $2,000 depending on the team and the number of tournaments. The younger teams typically have a lower cost. Both the 12U teams may elect to attend Cooperstown for a week-long tournament and the 13 & 14U teams may elect to attend Cal Ripken for a week-long tournament.  There is an additional cost for those week-long tournaments.  The teams participating in Cooperstown or Cal Ripken will have a higher cost as those are typically week-long tournaments.

Additional Information for both baseball and softball tryouts:
 
Plymouth Township Park is 46640 Ann Arbor Trail, Plymouth.   Please attend a half-hour earlier to sign in with the coach.    Please click on the link at the bottom to fill out the pre-registration form.

Heritage Park is in Canton on Heritage Drive.  Heritage Drive is the light between Cherry Hill and Palmer where the Fire Station is.  Please attend a half-hour earlier to sign in with the coach.    Please click on the link at the bottom to fill out the pre-registration form.
 

Please note in the event of weather, please call the weather line at 734-394-5489 after 4 pm.  The weather line will either announce if tryouts are on or if they are postponed to another date.

A payment of $250 is expected within 48 hours of commitment to the team. The Nitro team may take non-residents to fill in gaps.

There is no fee.  Evaluations will be performed by each coach.
