High River Grassroots Finale Program

Program Overview

The High River Grassroots Finale Program is a beginner-friendly volleyball program designed for young athletes who are new to the sport. Our goal is to create a fun, safe, and supportive environment where players can learn the basics of volleyball, build confidence, and develop a love for the game.

Led by experienced Rampage Volleyball Centre coaches, this program focuses on teaching fundamental skills through age-appropriate drills, small-sided games, and engaging activities.

Who Can Join?

• Gender: Open to all genders
• Age Range: 8–12 years old
• Experience Level: Little to no prior volleyball experience required

This program is ideal for children who are curious about volleyball, looking to try a new sport, or wanting to build basic skills before joining school or club teams.

What Players Will Learn

Throughout the program, players will be introduced to the core skills of volleyball, including:

• Proper movement, balance, and ready position
• Forearm passing (bumping)
• Overhead passing (setting)
• Serving fundamentals
• Basic attacking concepts and footwork
• Introductory team play and simple game rules

Coaches will emphasize teamwork, communication, sportsmanship, and having fun while learning.

Program Structure

The High River Grassroots Finale Program runs from April 23, 2026 to June 4, 2026. Sessions are structured to keep players active and engaged from start to finish.

• Warm-up and movement skills
• Skill-focused drills tailored to beginner athletes
• Fun games and modified scrimmages
• Cool-down and review of key learning points
