FORMAT
Days 1 and 2: Qualification Rounds
Athletes compete in an Olympic-style series of challenges evaluating technical skills, tactical awareness, athletic ability, and game performance. Challenges include obstacle-based activities, skill stations, and small-sided games.
Each activity is scored using a standardized point system. Athletes have two days to accumulate points toward qualification.
Field assignments by age group:
Final Day: Championship Matches
Based on cumulative scores from Days 1 and 2, top-performing athletes in each age group advance to the final day.
Finalists compete in championship matches with referees to crown a VFA Summer Games Champion in each age division.
Match formats:
Final matches take place on the Champions Tower Field.
By registering a team, I confirm that:
• I am an authorized coach or team representative for the team listed • I understand that parents or legal guardians are responsible for athlete registration, waivers, and required documents • I understand that my team is not complete until all athletes are fully registered by their parent or guardian
• I acknowledge that I am responsible for ensuring all athletes: – Are registered in the correct age division – Meet all eligibility requirements for their division – Provide accurate roster information
• I understand that teams or athletes placed in an incorrect age group or division may be moved, removed, or forfeited from competition.
• I agree to follow all event rules, policies, and codes of conduct as outlined by the VFA Summer Games
