1) Treat teammates, coaches, umpires and all fans with respect. This is youth sports where we want to lead by example especially with the growing issues in our country. We have the ability even at this low level of athletics to help mold and teach our youth so always remember to lead by example. There isn't any pro scouts coming here to watch your kid play so yes be competitive and cheer on the young athletes but also know the limits.
2) With the recent COVID-19 pandemic we have made some adjustments to the park , but the biggest most noticable one for the young athletes which we want to teach is tipping the cap after the game. There will not being any lining up and shaking hands after games like there was traditionally, instead we are implementing a different form of respect shown in sports which is the tipping of the cap or waving gesture for those sports without ball caps. Players after the game will line up on the foul line tip the cap to the opposing team, the umpires and the fans as a show of respect and gratitude.
3) Please NO SMOKING near the youth fields and yes this includes vaping! If you need to do either of those then please step away from the fields closer to the parking areas. If you dip then please no spitting on the ground around the common areas of the fields or complex.
4) This goes out to all parents, if you child gets say hit by a hard grounder during the game and drops down and starts crying please don't rush onto the field. Let the coaches and umpire check on the kid first and I know this may be hard for some parents and seem wrong but in all the years I've been around youth sports at multiple levels I have learned that the young ones getting hit have that initial scare and the moment they see mom or dad rushing down then can overreact. Give the adults on the field a chance to check out the kid first a lot of times they are fine and if it ends up being more serious then they will motion for the parents. Majority of the people in charge on the field are parents too so we know how you feel and how to deal with it.
5) As spectators please cheer on your child and the other athletes but let's allow the coaches to do the coaching on the field. The child gets confused if mom or dad are saying this and the coaches are saying something else. I know this is hard because you just get into the game so much and we love you for that.

Every team name for our younger age groups will be based on the nicknames of the characters or images from the movie "The Sandlot" . This team will be named after "Squints" a pivotal character that has to explain the legend of the Beast to the team with the iconic line "Forever, Fo-Ev-er"
