FIRST TEAM || Players departing the club at the end of the 2023 season

Eastern United FC would like to thank the departing players for their contribution to the club.

We would like to thank Matuza Santiago, William Nuttall, Tawab Taufiq, Godfrey Okello, Franz Pjetri, Daniel Pauli, Panagiotis Manidakis, Thanasi Lesi, Freeman Johnson, Tzoi Tsarkani, and Kristian Zefi for their contribution to the club.

Matuza Binyangi's narrative began within our club's youth ranks at the age of 13. After a brief hiatus at Salisbury United, Binyangi returned triumphantly, making a significant impact with over 35 appearances with the Saints over 3 years.

Tawab Taufiq's footballing journey started in NSW and from his early days at Granville Waratahs to trials overseas and NPL ventures, Taufiq overcame adversities. Injuries did not deter him; instead, he showcased his attacking prowess, making a significant impact with over 20 appearances for Eastern United scoring 11 goals.

Godfrey Okello, a beloved figure on and off the pitch, made an unforgettable impression during his time at Eastern United FC. With over 30 appearances, Okello's charisma and love for the club endeared him to fans and teammates alike, he will be missed and we wish him all the best for the future.

Franz Pjetri's story unfolds as a prodigy early on. From his beginnings in Italy to representing Albania at the U17 and U19 levels, Pjetri's journey took him through esteemed clubs. He returned to Eastern United FC in 2023 after playing three season for Para Hills Knights.

Daniel Pauli, a product of Adelaide City after a stint at Metrostars he played four seasons with Adelaide Hills Hawks. With a debut at 17 and numerous accolades, Pauli's 2023 season with Eastern United FC added 25 more appearances to his career in South Australian Football.

Panagiotis Manidakis, played his youth in Europe going thru clubs like Brescia Calcio and OFI Crete, before joining Eastern United he was successful at Adelaide Olympic winning a federation cup and making a the Australia Cup. He made 23 appearances in 2023 for Eastern United scoring 8 goals.

We would also like to thank Thanasi Lesi, Freeman Johnson, Tzoi Tsarkani, William Nuttall and Kristian Zefi for their time at our club and we wish them success in all their future football endeavors.
