SENIORS || Spiros Simeonakis appointed Coach of the Saints First Team 

Eastern United FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Spiros Simeonakis as Coach of the First Team squad for season 2023.

Spiros Simeonakis, 53, comes to us off the back of a successful seasons in 2022, where at Adelaide City he took the U18's to a top 6 finish whilst developing players to go and play in the Reserves and First Team squads.

Simeonakis is well known and respected in the football community and with over 20 years of coaching, he will add much needed experience to the management team.
Simeonakis role will mainly focus on attacking side of the game and will work in collaboration with the Manager Gabriel Markaj to give an identity to the team in the attacking phase and focus on improving and developing each player to be functional in the team. He is currently undertaking the FFA/AFC B License and his a holder of the FFA/AFC license. Simeonakis has football in his DNA and he is a proud advocate of futsal a passion that helped him to build great networks around South Australia and Australia.

Spiros Simeonakis had this to say:
"I am excited and honoured to about becoming senior coach at Eastern United FC, I loved my time Adelaide City coaching and developing the U18's during the year."

"I look forward to adding a positive contribution and improve the game at all levels, my experience as a player and now as a coach will add value to our already talented squad." he continued.

Manager Gabriel Markaj had this to say:
"Spiros is well known in the football community and undoubtedly he has a lot of experience to bring to the club and when I heard he was keen to join us, I contacted him to find out how he could of help our club in a football sense and I was happy with what I heard and I can't wait to get started and show us what he is capable of doing."

"I wish a great season and he will be well supported during his time at the club by me and the staff." he continued.

The club will soon announce the rest of the coaching staff for the senior set up.
