FIRST TEAM || Player departures confirmed

Eastern United can confirm that State League 1 squad members Marcus Ellul, Henry Heaney, David Preka, Vasili Carapanayitis, John Haile, Jason Lee, Biar Deng, Rocco Puccini & Richard Sokiri have all parted ways with the club.

Marcus Ellul, Henry Heaney and David Preka were an instrumental part in the Saints State League 1 survival in 2021. In 2020 they have won the Reserves StateLeague 2 Championship and made their First Team debut under the guidance of Robbie Ditroia.

Richard Sokiri, joined the club in 2021 and was also a big part of the survival campaign that saw the Saints avoid relegation against all odds.

Rocco Puccini, made his First Team debut during the 3-0 win against Western Strikers SC in round 7.

Biar Deng & Vasili Carapanayiotis, joined the club at the beginning of the 2022 season but due to injuries they couldn't break into the starting line up in regular basis.

John Haile and Jason Lee, joined the club during the winter transfer window.

Manager Gabriel Markaj had this to say about the departing players:
