STOYAC Basketball

STOYAC Basketball offers two programs: Travel and Recreational.

The Travel program competes in the MetroWest League, which includes more than 1,000 teams from towns across eastern Massachusetts. Teams in grades 4–8 are organized by grade and gender and placed in skill-based divisions—A, B, C, or Divisions 1–6—to promote competitive balance.

The Recreational program includes five grade-based divisions:

Instructional: A coed program for second graders that teaches basketball fundamentals. Sessions are held on Saturdays in the OMS back gym, with scrimmages near the end of the season; there are no games or week day practices.

Peewees: Grades 3–4

Juniors: Grades 5–6

Seniors: Grades 7–8

Graduates: High school players in grades 9–12. This division has no weekday practices and plays two games on Saturdays.

If enough girls prefer a girls-only division, we will create one; otherwise, girls may play in a coed division.

Registration runs from September through mid-October. Evaluations are held the Saturday after registration closes, followed by several weekday practices before games begin. Games start on the first Saturday in December and continue through mid-March, concluding with Championship Saturday.
