Lion League Basketball Program

Welcome to Lion League, the official youth basketball program of 1018 Lions Basketball in SE Houston, Texas. Our co-ed league is designed for players of all experience levels who want to learn the game, develop skills, and have fun in a positive, team-centered environment.

Who Can Join?

Lion League is open to boys and girls who are excited to learn and play basketball. Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or has been playing for years, our coaches adjust instruction to each player’s age and skill level.

Program Goals

Our goal is to help every player:

• Learn and improve fundamental basketball skills
• Develop confidence on and off the court
• Understand teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline
• Build a strong work ethic in a fun, encouraging setting

What Players Will Learn

Throughout the Lion League season, players will work on:

• Dribbling, passing, and ball-handling
• Shooting technique and footwork
• Defense and rebounding
• Game spacing, movement, and basic plays
• Communication and leadership on the court

Lion League combines structured practices with organized games so players can apply what they learn in real basketball situations.

Waivers

Waiver Summary Text: I hereby authorize the staff of the 1018 Lions Basketball Program to act on behalf of my child, according to their best judgment, in any emergency requiring medical attention. I hereby waive and release the 1018 Lions Basketball Program staff from any and all liability of any injuries or illnesses incurred during training or resulting from attending the program.

I hereby grant 1018 Lions Basketball, its affiliates, and authorized media partners the irrevocable right to photograph, record, or otherwise capture my child's likeness, voice or image during all practices, games, and official events. These recordings and images may be used for promotional, public relations, and educational purposes including but not limited to team websites, social media, print materials and broadcasts.

I understand that all sales are final. No refunds will be provided.
