Delavan Youth Football and Cheer

Date: April 15th, 2026            

1.Call to Order: 6:04                                   

2.Roll Call : David Henriott,Mike Garbe, Jenni Schultz, Brenda Warrenburg, Steven Schultz Sr. Brianna Dean, Mark Kibler, Stacey Kibler

3. Approval of March 2026 meeting date Minutes 1st Steven Schultz Sr Motioned/Brenda Warrenburg 2nd - all approved

4. Reports:

President: Dave Henriott - Getting quotes for insurance, ordered footballs

V.P. : Mike Garbe - Not in attendance

Secretary : Stacey Kibler - Nothing

Treasurer : Cassi Martino - Balance $32,797.79 

-Received funds & Paid booster for 7v7 Concessions both dates

-Paid PO Box - $198

-Receiving some registration payments $2,813.23

-Outstanding - $100.00 league fee check

Administrator: Greg Nichols - Not in attendance

League: Steven Schultz - Next league meeting in May

Concessions/Fundraiser: Brenda- 7v7 Day 1- Net $341.95 , Day 2- Net $896.07

At- Large: Tommy CdeBaca- Not in attendance

Cheer: Jenni Schultz 

 Upcoming: 

-May 1st/2nd Camp - Youth registrations

-June 16th Camp for Current cheer leaders only (9-5p) HS doing the registration

-Youth Night with HS: August 28th- Half time

-Homecoming - Parade & Half time

-Cornfest Parade - September

-Fall Show Case Oct 24th

-November 21st - Hosting Conference Competition at DDHS

Purchased/Wants to purchase:

-Competition - Yellow Megaphones $35

- New Signs x16- 24x2 Double sided $180-$210 (Spirit Gear Hub- Same as HS)

   5. Old Business

  1. Fundraisers- Brenda reaching out to same & new businesses for Sponsors/Comet Cards

    1. August 3rd- Hard deadline for all businesses to submit info

    2. Comet Cards - Net $6700 in 2025

6. New Business

  1.  7v7 

    1. Steven Schultz - League met in March just before 7v7 resulting in later decisions, and last minute scheduling of games.  Meetings haven’t been monthly like they used to be.

    2. for fall 2026- Mark Kibler suggests the league does this doing this tourney/jamboree style on 1 date only. 3 location- 1 for each grade doing 25 min halves vs current 3 week schedule.  So much overlap with baseball, spring break.

  2. Scholarships- Militello Scholarships - 2 qualifying candidates.  The board voted 1 candidate to be awarded the full amount.

7.Open Discussion:

  1. Mark Kibler - 3/4th grade tackle Program outlook:

    1. Stacey had posted an interest survey early, but had to take down until the board could vote approval of the survey. All voted in favor to get survey back out there to gain the interest in the program.  

    2. Insurance cost is looking to be around $800.00

    3. Potential to equipment start fittings in June to figure out equipment purchase needs

    4. Equipment that will be needed: Shoulder pads, helmets, pants

    5. Registration stop date in July

  2. Stacey Kibler - Marketing

1. Need to have a bigger presence on social media

2.Get Dre’s photo’s from last year

3. Brainstorm ways to get someone to manage facebook page/making posts

4.Look into pricing of having Dre or Sean, High School students interested in Photography/Marketing?

  1. Stacey Kibler - Clothing

    1. Reached out to Hansen Screen Printing & Backroad Apparel for estimates

      1. Heard back from HSP - Sent both cheer & football logo’s

        1. He can set up online store for direct ordering

        2. Mid- priced items, multiple options tshirt/long sleeve/sweatshirt

      2. Backroad Apparel - Could do per order with bulk deadline date

        1. Haven’t received any other info back/estimates

8.Next Meeting: May 20th- 6PM – Community Room Town bank
