Program Overview

Our Flag Football 2026 program is a fun, recreational league designed to introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of football in a safe, non-contact environment. Flag football is an excellent way for children to learn teamwork, build confidence, and develop a love for the game.

This program focuses on basic skills such as running, passing, catching, flag pulling, and understanding simple plays. All players will have the opportunity to participate, learn, and grow in a supportive setting.

Who Can Play?

• Gender Eligibility: Boys and girls
• Grades: Pre-K through 2nd grade
• Age Range: 4 years old through 2nd grade
• Program Type: Recreational (no prior experience required)

Teams will be formed by age and/or grade level to promote fair play and an enjoyable experience for all participants.

Season Dates

• Program Start Date: August 2, 2026
• Program End Date: November 7, 2026

The season will include practices and games scheduled throughout the fall. Specific practice and game schedules will be provided closer to the start date.

What to Expect

Players will participate in weekly practices and games led by volunteer coaches. Games are played with flags instead of tackling, allowing children to enjoy the excitement of football while minimizing physical contact.

All skill levels are welcome, and our focus is on learning, participation, and having fun.

Parents and guardians can register players through Callisburg Youth Sports Association. Detailed registration instructions, fees, and deadlines will be available on our official communication channels.

Waiver Summary Text: By Signing this waiver i understand that CYSA board, CISD, Callisburg school officials, coaches,staff and volunteers are hearby realeased from any libality if my participiant is injured while on school grounds and while praticipating in any active play such as games, warm ups, practice etc. in the event death or injury occurs all praticipating parties above are not held liable and my praticipanting is playing at their own risk.

Waiver Summary Text: I hearby Agree to follow the parent and Guardian code of conduct as well as player code of conduct listed on the website. Guardians and players will abide by rules and regulations listed to keep a positive,fun, and safe enviorment for all players, Guardians coaches and staff. If rules are broken I understand that myself or my child may reap consequences such as loss game time, suspension, or in extreme cases removal from team or organization.
