Description

The MiniRoos Program at Mooroolbark Soccer Club is the perfect introduction to football for children aged U7 to U11. It’s designed to foster a love of the game while building foundational skills in a fun, inclusive, and development-focused environment.

MiniRoos teams play in modified formats appropriate to their age:

  • U7s: 4 v 4 (+3 subs)
  • U8–U9s: 7 v 7 (+4 subs)
  • U10–U11s: 9 v 9 (+5 subs)

Training is held once or twice weekly depending on the team, with schedules available via the SportsPlus app. Games are played locally, with home matches at Esther Park on either the synthetic or senior grass pitch.

Our coaching staff follow the Football Australia Skill Acquisition Phase, focusing on:

  • First touch
  • Running with the ball
  • 1v1 situations
  • Striking the ball
  • Communication and teamwork

MiniRoos is all about participation and enjoyment. Coaches aim to provide equal game time where possible, and players are encouraged to be confident, respectful, and supportive of their teammates.

Fees:

  • $578 club fee
  • Additional Football Australia fee (to be confirmed)
  • No weekly match fees

Parents are expected to support the club culture by following the MSC Code of Conduct, assisting with matchday duties, and encouraging positive behaviour both on and off the pitch.

This program is ideal for young players beginning their football journey in a safe, structured, and community-focused setting.
