CYO boy’s football has a wide range of benefits including physical, mental, and social growth. We promote the mentality of a “Brotherhood” within the SMG football family. This starts with discipline and commitment to one another, to the team, but most importantly to Christ. We instill confidence and self-esteem by attacking problems and obstacles with teamwork and cooperation. We ask these boys to exhibit leadership skills while representing the Lord and their parish with respect and sportsmanship.

CYO Cross-Country is a coed sport that contributes spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially to each participant’s growth. Our program will help promote lifelong lovers of running and healthy habits. We challenge runners with setting difficult goals and teaching methods of self-discipline and mental resilience to achieve their goals.

Guerin Catholic
In-House boys tennis is a SMG hosted sport but all practices and home games will be at Guerin Catholic. This growing sport at SMG is a great way to learn the game and sharpen your skills. With opponents such as Zionsville and Westfield, there is plenty of healthy competition for the boys to test their abilities. Each practice starts and ends with prayer to center our players prior to moving into something new.

Cadet Cheer is our advanced youth cheerleading program for 5th through 8th graders, offering a dynamic and challenging experience focused on strong technique, team leadership, and faith-filled representation of school spirit. Athletes in this program perform true sideline and halftime cheerleading, including stunts, multi-part routines, and leadership in crowd engagement. Cadet Cheer emphasizes both personal responsibility and the power of community, encouraging athletes to model virtue as they lead.

Angels Cheer introduces 3rd and 4th grade students to the foundational elements of cheerleading in a fun, encouraging, and Catholic-centered environment. Athletes begin working on sideline cheers and light routines, with a growing focus on technique, timing, and voice projection. Faith is woven into every session, helping athletes grow .

Little Angels is the next step in our cheerleading journey — a beginner-friendly program for 1st and 2nd grade students ready to grow in both skill and spirit. Building on the fun and foundation of Cheerios, Little Angels introduces more structured cheer techniques, chants, and light routines, all within a Christ-centered environment. Faith is integrated into every practice and performance, teaching our Little Angels to uplift not only their teams — but one another.

Cheerios is our introductory cheerleading program designed specifically for our kindergarten students. Rooted in a joyful, faith-filled environment, Cheerios introduces young athletes to the basics of cheer including movement, rhythm, teamwork, and spirit. Through simple cheers, fun routines, and uplifting activities, participants develop confidence, coordination, and a sense of belonging.
