The NVA Mini Club Season is a short developmental volleyball program that runs from August through October 2026. Designed for beginner and intermediate players, the program gives athletes the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of volleyball, improve their skills, and gain game experience in a fun and competitive environment. Participants practice twice per week for 1½ hours and compete in five mini-tournaments throughout the season.
Mini Club is perfect for players who want to continue developing between club seasons or prepare for school volleyball programs.
Open to girls ages 8-17 and boys ages 8-14.
Mini Club teams are available for beginner and intermediate players ages 10-16.
Players are placed on teams based on age, ability, and AAU Volleyball age eligibility rules.
Children ages 7-10 may participate in the Volleystart MiniNona Program, which does not require placement.
Please arrive early to complete the check-in process.
Check-In Times:
8:00 AM: Ages 8-12
12:00 PM: Age 13
3:00 PM: Ages 14 and Up
Players must be on time to participate.
Participants should arrive dressed and ready to play and bring:

Spandex or athletic shorts
Knee Pads

Placements are made at the coaches' discretion and are not negotiable.

Practice Schedule:
Two practices per week
Each practice is 1½ hours
Practice days will be either:
Monday & Wednesday, or
Tuesday & Thursday
Practice locations and schedules are to be determined (TBD).
Two (2) practice shirts with numbers
Two 1½-hour practices per week

All tournaments are held on weekends (Saturday or Sunday).
Athletes registered in the program do not pay tournament entry fees. All spectators, including family members and guests, are required to pay the tournament's spectator admission fee.
Tournament schedules and playing times will be released no earlier than the Wednesday before each tournament.
An AAU Player Membership is required by August 15, 2026, to participate in practices and tournaments. Instructions for obtaining the current season's AAU Membership will be sent through SportsPlus.

By registering for the 2026 NVA Mini Club Program, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
Voluntary ParticipationI understand that participation in volleyball activities, including practices, placements, tournaments, conditioning, and related events, is voluntary and involves inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to falls, collisions, sprains, strains, fractures, concussions, illness, and other serious injuries.
Assumption of RiskI knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in the NVA Mini Club Program and accept full responsibility for any injury, illness, damage, or loss that may occur as a result of participation.
Medical AuthorizationI certify that my child is physically able to participate in volleyball activities. In the event of an emergency, I authorize Nona Volleyball Academy (NVA), its directors, coaches, staff, and representatives to obtain emergency medical treatment for my child if I cannot be reached. I understand that I am financially responsible for any medical expenses incurred.
Release and Waiver of LiabilityI release and hold harmless Nona Volleyball Academy (NVA), its owners, directors, coaches, employees, volunteers, facility providers, and affiliated organizations from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, losses, or causes of action arising from my child's participation in the program, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Code of ConductI understand that athletes and parents are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respectful behavior toward coaches, officials, teammates, opponents, and spectators. NVA reserves the right to remove any participant or spectator whose behavior is disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe.
Photography and Media ReleaseI grant permission for Nona Volleyball Academy (NVA) to photograph, videotape, and use images or recordings of my child for promotional, educational, and social media purposes without compensation.
Program PoliciesI understand that team placements are based on age and skill level and are made at the coaches' discretion. Placements are final and not negotiable. I understand that participation in Mini Club does not guarantee placement on a regular club team after October.
Financial PoliciesI understand that all registration and program fees are subject to NVA's payment policies. Late fees may apply, and tournament spectator admission fees are separate and are not included in the program cost.
