2025 Washington State Adult Soccer Association (WSASA) Female Player of the year award

SCASA is very proud to present Kelsey Gillies as the 2025 Washington State Adult Soccer Association (WSASA) Female Player of the year.

Kelsey started playing soccer when she was 5 years old.  She played for three different select teams- Extreme (Monroe), Snohomish United, and Evergreen (Everett). Growing up she also ran track and cross country. She played basketball until her Junior year and volleyball until high school when soccer was in the same season. Soccer was always her favorite sport!

Kelsey attended WSU for her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. At WSU she played intramural indoor and outdoor soccer. In her Junior year, she was the co-founder of a traveling WSU women's club soccer team. Kelsey and her sorority sister put the team together. They had to submit it to the Sport Club Federation Council for approval. They traveled to play other club teams like Gonzaga, Central, Boise State, UW and University of Idaho.

Kelsey is currently playing in her 10th year in SCASA Coed Open and Coed Over 30 with teams like Friends of Guinness and We Got the Runs.

Congratulations Kelsey!
