What We Do

At Ball Hog Sports we provide youth sports programs, specifically basketball, to players in the Goodyear, AZ community and surrounding area. We are fully committed to offering quality instruction that is not only fun, but functional. We welcome athletes of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced club or school level players. Our academies are 100% led by professionally licensed coaches. And all of our activities (drills, exercises) have been thoroughly used and tested by our coaches, and are proven to produce results. While our primary focus is skill development through our clinics, Ball Hog Sports, or more specifically #HogLife, is a mindset. It is the culture that surrounds our entire program. At its core, it is our belief system. We believe in:

Discipline - Loving the process, including practice and training. "Hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard."
Ownership - Have the courage to fail or make mistakes, since failure breeds success.
Grit - Never giving up; no quit attitude.

Along with these tenants, some of the guiding principles of our program are:

Individual attention - Academies are capped at 10 players maximum. Smaller groups allow coach(es) to provide more personalized instruction. Players are able to learn skills at their own pace through modifications.
No lines - Whenever possible, all players will participate in activities at the same time. While there will inevitably be some waiting, players will be active most of the academy, which leads to...
More repetitions or touches - Despite academies being only an hour, players will receive more actual playing time since there is less waiting.
Urgency - All academies led with pace to maximize the entire 60 minutes.
