The Raleigh Rugby U8 Co-EdTouch Program introduces players ages 5–8 to the sport of rugby in a safe, fun, and dynamic environment. Players learn the basics of passing, catching, running, kicking, and teamwork while developing coordination, fitness, and confidence.

Description

The U8 Co-Ed Touch Rugby Program is part of the Raleigh Rugby Youth Program and is designed specifically for players age 8 and under (ideally starting at age 5). This co-ed, non-contact program provides a safe and supportive way for young athletes to experience rugby while having fun and making friends.

Through age-appropriate activities and games, players learn how to:

Pass, catch, and kick the ball
Run with agility and control
Work as part of a team
Build coordination, balance, and overall fitness
Develop sportsmanship and confidence

Practices and scrimmages emphasize fun, skill-building, and teamwork over competition. Touch rugby provides an exciting introduction to the game without tackling, making it a safe entry point for children and parents new to the sport.
