Players and Parents/Guardians - 

 

The Fall 7s season is complete.  The Coaches feel this has been a highly successfully season for all the Rattlesnakes players.

 

- Great energy and teamwork amongst the players

- Improved Skills and game understanding

- Tier 2 season finish of 2nd place, which included winning all the matches we should have won and tie against the eventual winners, Charlotte Tigers T2.  Ultimately the difference of 1st and 2nd in Tier 2 was 1 pt, because Tigers had 1 more match where they scored 4 or more tries.

 

And all of this with a new coaching staff and new program platform to work with.

 

From the Coaching Staff, thank you for your trusting us this season.  We all enjoyed the time spent at practice and on match weekends together.  We look forward to the Spring Season.

 

As for next steps, here is what we see between now the Spring Season:

 

- Parent Feedback to Coaches:  A survey will be prepared and distributed.  Positives, Negatives, Ideas for improvements, share it all.  The Coaching Team will listen and incorporate it into future actions for the coming seasons.

- Greer 7s, there may be an opportunity to play in the Greer 7s tourney 12/7 + 12/8.  Players who are interested need to submit their interest this week in the Players SnapChat Group (if your player is not in that group, please just msg Coach Kenny). We need to have at least 10 players to go.

- Spring Season 15s:  I have a tentative schedule already from NCYRU.  Matches will start after Ruggerfest.  The Coaches will put together an offseason plan and Spring 15s plan and share it the week of Nov 11th.

Final Fall 7s Weekend!!!

 

Coach Mark (919.917.4139) and Coach Byron (919.799.3578) will be in charge of the T2 HS Boys this weekend, sadly I have to travel for work and will not be available.

 

IMPORTANT FOOD TOPIC - 

Cobras will be doing Brats & Hot Dogs, there will be a grill there - raid the fridge and freezer and bring Brats/Hot Dogs to add to the grill and buns and chips.  Sorry for the late notice.

 

As for the standings going into the weekend, Rattlesnakes sit in 3rd in T2 Boys Division:

- Greer 29 pts

- Tigers 27 pts

- Rattlesnakes 26 pts

- Providence 23 pts

 

Its 4 pts for a win, 2 for a tie, 0 for loss with  1 Bonus Pt for scoring 4 tries in a match and 1 Bonus Pt if you lose by less than 7.

 

We play Wando, Greer and Providence...  Greer plays Tigers.  Rattlesnakes are shooting for 3-0 and Try Bonus Pts in every match.  In the Greer Match we need to win by more than 7 pts.  So, if do that and Greer loses or ties Tigers I think Rattlesnakes can win T2.

VIPERS PLAYING ARE COMING TO SUPPORT NUMBERS AND PROVIDE A HIGH COMPETITION ENVIRONMENT TO HELP HS BOYS PREPARE FOR THE FINAL 7S WEEKEND.

 

ALL PLAYERS NEED TO BE AT PRACTICE ON WEDNESDAY, 10/23.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO BE AT PRACTICE.
