Serena Jameka Williams
 was born in Saginaw, Michigan, U.S., on 26 September 1981, to Oracene Price and Richard Williams, the youngest of Price’s five daughters, an American professional tennis player. She entered Tennis at the age of 4. Her parents became the official coaches, while other mentors helped her learn the game.

At the age of 10, She was not allowed to attend the National Junior Tennis Tournaments due to the experiences of racism. While she had a 46–3 record on the U.S Tennis Association junior tour and was ranked number 1 among under-10 players in Florida

In 1995, when Williams was in grade nine, she and her sister were pulled out of Macci’s academy by her father, and, from then on, she was home coached.
